Dianne Longley PO Box 373 Hindmarsh 5007 South Australia 0414 891 952 dianne@diannelongley.com.au
Dianne Longley is a South Australian visual artist who works with a range of traditional and digital processes including printmaking, encaustic and oil painting, pokerwork on wooden panels, artist books, on-glaze porcelain, and small scale bronze casting. In her current work Dianne incorporates a cast of creatures and plants, which have become part of her visual language, to create various scenarios. The upside-down nature of some images reflects the upside-down nature of life. Her characters live in a world where nothing is certain. Dianne teaches part-time at Adelaide College of the Arts. In 1998 she published 'Printmaking with Photopolymer Plates' and runs workshops in printmaking and artist books in Australia and overseas. She is currently undertaking PhD studies at Australian National University with Sasha Grishin. Dianne's exhibition 'Fantastic Grotesque' will be the Adelaide Central Gallery SALA exhibition for 2010. The exhibition comprises artist books, prints, small bronzes and works on wooden panels. |
